At 8:00 AM, your team will pick you up for a visit to Amber
Mountain National Park, Madagascar’s first national park established in
1958. This lush rainforest receives up to 4,000 mm of rainfall annually
and is home to a rich diversity of flora and fauna. You’ll discover
tropical vegetation including cannarium trees, vines, ferns, and
parasitic plants. The park features well-maintained trails, crater
lakes, waterfalls, and panoramic viewpoints. Wildlife highlights include
seven species of lemurs, such as the crowned lemur, Sanford’s lemur,
bamboo lemur, and the tiny Microcebus. After lunch in Joffreville,
you’ll continue to Diego Suarez for a city tour, exploring its colonial
architecture and historical charm.
